In 2019 life became tough. From a career both professionally and personally with family, kids, house and friends.
It simply became too much. It took some time to understand and accept the fact that it simply got too much. So continued to work. Hard.
As energy levels dropped even further while pushing even harder to maintain previous activity levels, anxiety started to knock on the chest.
I became a not so fun person to live with and everything became everyone else's fault.
Boom. One year after divorce, change of job, covid-19, kids still at 2 and 4 years old and move to a new home I was finally done.
A few glasses of wine with a friend and his kids I felt extremely tired and decided to go to bed with my kids without changing.
Next day became a new chapter of my life.
I've tried many therapies and methods to recover from burnout, but hardest thing is still a few years later how to talk about it with others without get a feeling of being judged.
Today I live happily with my new family, dear Patricia, my daughter Filippa and sons Valentin and Cornelis. Yet there is still though a need for mental care to stay on track and energized.
As mental health topic is booming it is also clear that there are no global consensus for research.
So above showing your surrounding either your experience from burn out and mental health you will from now on also support research in the field of preventing and recovering from burnout and related diseases such as anxiety and depression.
All this feel very purposeful for me and I see global potential for this initiative.
Please help each other to bring syre to the society.
